1. Our Commitment
Vincony is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. Conformance Status
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across all pages and features. While we work toward full compliance, some areas may not yet be fully accessible. We actively monitor and remediate any issues as they are identified.
3. Keyboard Navigation
Vincony supports comprehensive keyboard navigation throughout the platform:
- Skip to Content: A "Skip to main content" link is provided on every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation.
- Focus Management: All interactive elements (buttons, links, form controls) are focusable and operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible at all times.
- Shortcut Keys: The platform provides keyboard shortcuts including "?" for help, "Cmd/Ctrl+K" for the Command Palette, "Cmd/Ctrl+I" for Image Generation, and "Cmd/Ctrl+M" for the Model Catalog.
- Modal and Dialog Handling: All modals and dialogs implement focus traps to prevent focus from escaping the active overlay. Focus is returned to the triggering element when a modal closes.
- Sequential Navigation: Arrow keys are supported in wizards, tours, model catalogs, and other sequential interfaces.
4. Screen Reader Support
We design our interface to work with assistive technologies:
- Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML5 elements (header, main, nav, section, article, footer) to convey page structure.
- ARIA Labels and Roles: Interactive elements include appropriate ARIA labels, roles, and states. Live regions (aria-live="polite") are used to announce dynamic content updates, such as generation results.
- Alt Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes.
- Form Labels: All form inputs are associated with visible labels or accessible names.
- Headings Hierarchy: Pages follow a logical heading structure (single H1 per page, sequential heading levels) to aid navigation.
5. Visual Design Accessibility
Our design system supports accessibility through:
- Colour Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Dark and Light Modes: Both themes are designed to maintain adequate contrast.
- Motion Sensitivity: Users who prefer reduced motion (via the prefers-reduced-motion media query) will see simplified or disabled animations throughout the platform.
- Text Resizing: The interface supports browser-level text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Touch Targets: All interactive elements meet a minimum 44×44 pixel touch target size.
6. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, the following areas have known limitations:
- Third-Party Content: Some AI-generated outputs (images, videos, 3D models) may not include descriptive text. We provide prompt previews as supplementary context.
- Complex Visualisations: Charts on the Dashboard and analytics pages may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working on providing tabular data alternatives.
- PDF Exports: Exported PDF documents may not yet meet full PDF/UA accessibility standards.
7. Assistive Technologies Tested
We regularly test with the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
- NVDA (Windows)
- JAWS (Windows)
- TalkBack (Android)
- Various modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
